Welcome to another day of my journey to fabulous fitness and wonderful weight loss.
My goal is to hit 200 lbs by June of 2018.
It’s going to be tough but I know I can do it. I used to be over 350 lbs before my VSG surgery in 2013 so I’m no stranger to the hard work it takes to lose weight.
You only get out of life what you put into it. If you want half-assed weight loss, you half-ass it. I’m working out and watching what I eat (no, I don’t eat all twigs and berries, lol).
I’m also working on my mind (conscious and subconscious).
Much of what we do is controlled by the subconscious brain. We are really only limited by our own minds. I read books, listen to audiobooks, watch helpful videos on Youtube, listen to various sound frequencies and binaural beats as well as sleep hypnosis.
The mind, (mental and emotional, thoughts and feelings) greatly affects our ability to lose and maintain weight loss. If you don’t repair what’s wrong you’ll be self-sabotaging yourself and wondering why you just can’t get ahead.
If I can’t control myself with it, then it has to go!
Knowing yourself is part of the battle. I’ve removed certain things from my diet but I will enjoy without guilt a piece of birthday cake or a small slice of pizza.
I followed up with a 15 lb kettlebell workout and then a ride on my recumbent bike.
If you’re not working out for hours at a time, don’t feel bad! I’m working out for a half hour to 45 minutes on my workout days and guess what … it’s beating all the workouts I wasn’t doing before.
I’m building strength and losing weight through consistency.
I have a life outside of weight loss and fitness and everything that I do has to neatly fit into my schedule in order for it to become a habit.
